Ive wanted to write a review of this game for over 2 years but things have gotten in the way, looking at you No mans Sky with your incredable patches!
There are many games some are well good and some are bad but some are just something new and amazing and Subnautica is one of those games.
Of all the games ive played over the years Subnautica is one of the most enjoyable games ever.
Word of mouth – No mans Sky:
When No mans’s sky wasnt what it hyped up to be, people where pissed. I played it when it launched and wile it was “good” it wasnt what was promised. The failure of No mans sky was a blessing for other small indie games doing a similar thing.
After reading articles dedicated to 5 games better than “No mans sky”, “Subnautica” was mentioned, id never heard of it. So i had a look at the website and youtube trailer and i thought to myself yeah, this looks good.
Chill out & Stressful?
This game is such a chill out and yet serious game all in one. You can spend all your time just exploring, just floating along gathering stuff as the games music makes you feel at home.
I cant recommend this enough, its one of the best game experiences ive ever had in over 25 years.
So i have been using the app for ages and had a number of different accounts setup on it.

New phone, new problems:
When i got my new phone i assumed that when i logged into my google account and downloaded the Authenicator App again that it would setup the app with the codes that i had on the app, Wrong.
How wrong i was! it doesnt do this and i would need back up codes for all the services/apps i had installed! I thought that i only needed the backup codes for the app and not for each service that i had installed. Your talking about multiple back up codes for multiple login services.
Over the years ive had two hard drive’s fail but one failed before there was even a chance to know the drive was about fail probably before S.M.A.R.T back in 2002/2003. It was a brand new drive with alot of programming stuff on it. I didnt think id need to backup a brand new drive oh what a lesson learned.
The first one was at a time where there was no google cloud and no online sync and backing up was a pain in the ass.
The Windows 10 1903 update
When the Windows 10 1903 update “rolled out” it became one of the worst experiences ive ever had to go through in upgrading a Windows PC in almost 20 years.
When i did get the fecking thing to work after two BIOS tweaks it revealed another problem. Everytime windows booted up one of the harddrives would dissapear for no reason.
Turns out after a few software hard drive diagnosis programs, the drive is kinda fu*cked and its a Western Digital Drive.
S.M.A.R.T – Self Monitoring and Reporting and Tool:
This invention in hard drive tech is fantastic, if your having problems with a hard drive and do a scan if there are any problems with the SMART settings then you could be in trouble.
Now the drive is still working but S.M.A.R.T is reporting problems with the drive which isnt a good sign.
Thats two Western Digital Hard Drives dead!
Dont buy Western digital Drives im guessing i bought these drives cause they were the cheaper option and that wraps up this post with this link to a survery of hard drive failures and yes Western Digital is number one.
The worst thing about Black Ops 4 has to be the match making. The amount of bugs in this game 10 months after it was released is just unacceptable. Now before you get your list of excuses ready im talking about the multi player game.

This lobby is not joinable
You join a lobby the game loads it stops loading and you get his message.
Joining a game mid-game and viewing the score board is broke
Play of the game is broke: i actually thought it was just on PC but no its on PS4 too and doesnt display players setup
Replays:
Sound problems there are no gun shots if i remember right.
Kill-cam:
Doesnt display anything sometimes
UI Error 62811:
No idea how or why this happens, it happens when you join a game and then nothing.
PC only :
Block a player and you still see their text chat
Microsoft did it again, released another f***king update for Windows 10 that broke things. This is the second or third time this has happened now.
This time the problem is similar again to one i had just solved a while ago where my PC would just freeze randomly.
Again this problem was caused by updating Windows 10 to 1809 which i only did a few months ago due to all the issues that update had.
This fucking update is a disaster and i have not been able to roll back to 1809 yet and i still down know whats causing the problem. All the evidence points to the Windows 1903 update.
The problem: Only seems to occur when the PC is either idle or watching youtube or netflix.

The problem remained despite having a brand new clean install of Windows 10.

The Fix in the BIOS:
Disable Core C6 state
Disabled C1 Support
Note: This may be a BIOS or Motherboard compatability issue with Windows 10 1903. The motherboard in question here is an Asus m5a97 r2.0 with BIOS version 2501.
It takes a lot to really really hate an advert, i mean it really does but for some reason this advert really annoys me and its not because of the video, its the awful song they have playing.

To call it “music” they have playing in the background of this advert a song is an insult. Its nothing but pure garbage, its worse than that!
The “song” comes from a band called the ‘ Tune yards’;
It was shocking to hear the sudden passing of Prodigy frontman Keith Flint last monday. I love The Prodigy heck anyone who grew up in the 90’s did.
Music for the Jilted Generation Music for the Jilted Generation was bloody awesome and still is. I played the hell out of that album on cassette tape.
My favorite track has got to be “Poison” ive being playing the hell out of that for the last couple of months theres just something about the base and beat of that track that’s incredible.
An absolute favorite tune of mine from the moment i first heard it back in the 90’s. This reworking is stunning and i actually hated it when i first hear it with the vocals as that’s not the way i remember it but ive grown to love it now.
Nope this isn’t some kinda lame click bait sponsored shit post. Ive spend most of the day trying to get Windows 10 to backup (normally it just works) but today its so slow its just terrible.
When i was googling for a better software package last year i came across a program that was free packed with features and was simple to use.
Normally i would try and use Paragon or Norton Ghost but they didnt seem to have Windows 10 versions when i looked.
Macrium Reflect: When you backup a drive you can then browse the drive in windows like an ISO disk image.
Not only that you can schedule when it runs etc and boot into the drive image you made.
Fast: Its fast too, it backed up my windows 10 image in 40 mins compared to Windows 10 backup.
